  • Northwest Potters Interpret Their World

Northwest Potters Interpret Their World is our 2018 OPA Fundraising installation. Themes involving Peace and the Northwest, with interpretations of plants to animals, ocean life to wetlands, homes, neighbor- hoods, geology, mountains, and abstract conceptual work focussed on our concerns, hopes, and observa- tions of our world. Funds from NW Potters Interpret Their Worlds benefit OPA’s Clay In Education program.

The Hokkaido Potters Society invited OPA to send eight peace poles for exhibition in their Museum of Contemporary Art in June 2018, along with an OPA members’ juried exhibition. A Peace Pole Exhibition of fifty five-foot sculptures created by Pacific North- west Youth are exhibited in the lobby just outside the entrance of showcase. A jury will select 8 for travel to Japan.
