November Program: How Did They Do That?
When you see new and interesting surface treatments on ceramic work, do you ask “how did they do that?” You’ll find some answers during the Presentation at the November 7 OPA General Meeting.
The program will be an exciting panel of four OPA artists who have two things in common: A strong commitment to excellence in their work, and a unique approach to SURFACE TREATMENT.
Charles Gluskoter – Dry, desert-cracked surfaces (See image at right.)
Donna Cole – Crystalline glazes and geode effects
Jim Koudelka – Diverse surfaces, including multi- layering slips and glazes for the soda-kiln
Pamela Yocum – Impressed textures and sprigging
Join Us! Come gain a window into their processes, tools, and techniques. Learn tips that can help you to create dramatic and wildly different surfaces to enhance your forms. Be inspired to start your own experimentation and people will ask you, “how did you do that?”
Everyone is welcome to general meetings.
