Workshop with Hank Murrow:
Sharing 40 Years of Working in Clay
Saturday April 16 | 9am to 5pm & Sunday April 17 10am to 3pm
In this two-day workshop Hank will teach any techniques that you would like to learn or see demonstrated. Included will be soft faceting, roller trimming, extruded trays, plate making and more. In this workshop participants are invited to offer input for subject matter: sign up today and let us know what you would like to learn more about!
Hank will be donating all workshop proceeds to the construction of a new soda kiln at Clay Space. Help bring a new atmosphere to our community! Sign up by calling Clay Space at 541-653-8089!
Unique surfaces are created through firing in a soda kiln.

WORKSHOP
Mt.Hood Community College is proud to host Yoshihiko Yoshida May 27 and 28. Yoshida is Ken Pincus' sensei. Ken worked with Yoshida in the 70's in Japan. A group of OPA potters visited Yoshida and his wife Mifune in their home in the Mino area of Japan September 2009. A most gracious host and hostess. Yoshida makes extraordinary tea ware and was a student of the great Arakawa.

Sculptural ceramic artist, Brad Mildrexler, known for his abstract expressions in textural form, will share his work in a Friday evening slide lecture open to the public at no cost. On Saturday, Brad will demonstrate his techniques for handbuilding sculpture and texturing pieces using natural materials in a day-long workshop that includes a noon, no-host potluck.

Wally Schwab Ceramics Workshop
Linn-Benton Community College, Benton Center is honored to offer a slide lecture and workshop by iconic Oregon potter, Wally Schwab, who has set the standard for wheel skills and brush work decoration. Since his MFA from Alfred University forty years ago, he has been the nucleus of many ceramics programs and offers an international apprenticeship through his studio.

The LBCC Benton Center Potters Sale and Show will be held on Friday, Dec. 9, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Benton Center Ceramics Studio, 757 NW Polk Ave., Corvallis.
Buy your holiday pottery gifts and help support the ceramics studio. Ceramics faculty, students and instructional assistants from LBCC will showcase their work and offer raku, high fire, salt fire and wood fire pieces for sale. Selection includes vessels and vases, a wide variety of decorative items, useable tableware, small sculptures and more.
