Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Post requests to OPA member images of current work, specifying dpi, file type, etc., for all publicity uses.
  • Establish a cloud or other storage system for these images, and provide them to OPA publicity team members and others as needed.
  • Work with Publicity team members to select featured images for Showcase advertising and promotion.
  • Work with Publicity to create *building blocks* with images, text, and composition to facilitate print ad creation.
  • Work with Publicity team and supply images for television spot construction.
  •  Some coordination with Gathering of the Guilds for joint print advertising.

Qualifications:

  • Strong design background with professional work history in graphic design.
  • Computer software and relevant experience for image manipulation and graphic construction.
  • Research show survey results to develop an advertising plan.
  • Save copies of ads run each year and submit to the Archivist for reference and historical perspective.
  • Attend Ceramic Showcase Steering Committee meetings every month or if attendance is not possible, submit a written report to the Ceramic Showcase Chair at least 24 hours prior to the meeting.

Education / Experience / Skills

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
  • Experience with slide scanners.
  • Excellent budgeting skills.
  • Knowledge of the advertising industry.
