Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

• Request, download and organize high resolution images from participating artists.
• Design and produce the Ceramic Showcase poster, postcard, flyer, book marks, and have them printed.
• Convert poster, flyer and postcard files into JPEGs for Webmaster, Patron Newsletter and digital marketing kit for participating artists.
• Provide high resolution photos, logos, etc. to the graphic designer and other committee chairs as needed.

Education / Experience / Skills

• Good communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Design and graphic experience, including commercial offset press experience.
• Curation. An eye for curation requires higher standards for quality of work, salability, and photo composition. Choose images that represent the breadth of work made by our mmembers. Show a variety of ceramic styles (traditional & contemporary, functional & sculpture), firing techniques (wood fired, Raku, gas/electric) and established vs. new members.
• Software expertise: Adobe InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator, and Acrobat Professional, PDF creation for web and press, file conversion abilities.
