Artist Statement
Centerswirl Ceramics is the studio of Kathy Lovrien, who has been making pottery for 30 years. Her stoneware is created on the wheel and built by hand, then fired to over 2000 degrees so it is durable and useful as well as able to add a touch of beauty and joy to daily life. Kathy also enjoys making musical instruments out of clay, such as ocarinas and drums, as well as raku urns and tiles.
