Artist Statement
My interest is in elegant and modern form and volume. To finish, I frequently etch and use wax resist to add an organic finish to a refined shape in order to create tension between the perfect and imperfect. This tension is a metaphor for just about everything. Our search for perfection and the interest of imperfection.
Biography
I began enthusiastically pursuing ceramics in 2011. I've studied at the Multnomah Arts Center, Archie Bray Foundation, Mendocino Art Center and Hoffman Center for the Arts. I bring a background of professional visual design.
