Our First OPA Showcase Installation Workshop – In March - 2020
Our first OPA Installation workshop to throw “Planters – Plant a Little Love” will take place on the Mt. Hood Community College Campus, Gresham, in the Ceramics Studio building (VA6). John Hasegawa, our workshop coordinator, is opening up the ceramics studio and pottery wheels to throw and hand build planters on Friday March 13th, with two sessions. Then we will trim the pottery on Saturday March 14th, with one session. John will also invite us back to glaze our pottery on Saturday March 21st from 11am – 3 pm.

Every year our OPA potters are afforded these ceramic workshops to create ceramic wares to donate to the OPA Showcase Installation booth to be sold to our constituents to raise money for our OPA “Clay In Education” program to help pay for our potters who teach ceramics in our schools AND for giving out Student Scholarships in Oregon and Washington.

Workshop will be held in the Visual Arts Mall Building #6
Entrances for the campus will be available on Stark St. (North Side of Campus), Kane Dr. (At the main gate) Free parking is available at parking lots AM and J. Handicapped access is available at parking lot AM, and the small parking lot above AM in the Painting Lab (Building #17).
