RED FLAME JUBILEE

WHERE WERE YOU IN 1980? CELEBRATE 40 YEARS OF FIRED-ON FRIENDSHIP IN OREGON!

All who love clay are invited to celebrate the Oregon Potters’ Association’s 40thyear! It’s going to be an epic gathering of potters, clay nerds, ceramic carvers, and kiln techies and we will dance to the music of our association's birth - the 80s!  It’s a party where clay unifies us as we revel in our common experiences.  Help us remember the past and talk about the future at the Historic Pavilion at Oaks Amusement Park in SE Portland September 19 2020. We hope every Potter and Ceramic Artist in the area joins us to celebrate!

We feed you dinner and drinks. You bring your smiling face, a plate for the plate exchange, and some anecdotes about OPA, clay, and/or 1980

Dressing up is encouraged, but dressing down is fine too. Or you can dress as your favorite 1980s character (Magnum PI? Devo? Mount Saint Helens? Someone from The Empire Strikes Back?). If you like to dance, we’ll play your favorite 80s music!

We are still working on the details, but think about these things: Food! Dessert! Wine & Beer! Photo Booths! Dancing! 80s music! Costumes! New Plates! Weird Ceramic Raffle Items!

You don’t have to be a member of OPA to come to our party- if you like clay, we like you! Join us for the evening! Questions? Contact Deborah Shapiro or Janet Buskirk, ShapiroPorcelain@yahoo.com, JanetBuskirk@gmail.com.
