Self Care for the Potter

Join us for an evening of learning about best practices for caring for our hands, wrists, elbows, backs and bodies when working as potters and ceramicists. 

Special Guest Speakers:

Amy Kalra Certified Hand Specialist

Amy currently works as a hand specialist for Providence in Oregon City. She enjoys using her 3D printer to design and render new exercise tools for her clients specific needs. She is a potter and will be sharing best practices to support the hands and particularly the movements and gestures of the thumb.

Serafine Lilien Ergonomic Specialist

Serafine works as and ergonomics specialist for ErgoArts in Portland. Serafine has shared her expertise in a series of articles coming out in OPA's Monthly feature. She will be sharing about her articles best practices for supporting the body as a potter and her own experiences for how she cares for herself in her own practice.
