Firing: Jan. 9-17, 2023
Unloading: Saturday Jan. 28, 2023
Join us for our annual fall firing of the Anagama and ChickenCat! We'll focus on developing glassy, functional surfaces in the kiln and sharing the East Creek experience. Each participant should plan on attending Saturday of the loading, at least one day of the firing, and the unloading.
Newcomers are welcome to sign up. Participants receive a short handbook with some information, and OPA will offer support through our woodfiring liaison.
You are signing up to join the East Creek November firing. If you are new to wood firing, this is a great opportunity to try firing two styles of kilns in a supportive and educational environment.
The OPA liaison will host a pre-firing Zoom meeting to answer any questions you may have about clays to use, ideas about different work you may want to make for the firing, as well as logistical questions about getting your work to East Creek and what to expect.
