Call for Entry: Governor's Mansion 2024 "The Power of Community"

  • Tue, August 01, 2023
  • Wed, September 20, 2023

OPA exhibition for 2023-4 will showcase the theme, “Power of Community.” The challenges of our world can be overwhelming. But if we focus on our local communities, we can effect positive change through loving acts of support and kindness, and ripple effects from our individual acts can change the world around us.

OPA is a group containing studio potters, teachers, sculptors, wood fire community, and LGBtQ+ members, whose interests are varied and overlapping. While our focus may vary widely, we all value human connection and community.

“The Power of Community” exhibition seeks work that represents your community. I will be looking for artwork that symbolizes your vision of community, and how you send your love out into the world.

Please submit:

  • Photos of up to 3 pieces for consideration
  • Work measuring no larger than 12 x 12 x 12
  • A brief statement explaining your choice— one word or one sentence
  • A BRIEF bio— no more than 200 words— to be included in the curator statement

Submit all materials for consideration by September 20th to Kirsten Page Bennett

Work is due by October 1st and show runs for a whole year.

Show set up in mid-October
